Decision-Making Process

A collaborative and transparent approach to editorial decisions at GRII.

Decision-Making Process

The decision-making process at GRII is collaborative and transparent.

Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief, informed by the recommendations of the handling editor and the reviewers' reports. Decisions are based on the manuscript's originality, methodological soundness, relevance to the journal's mission, and contribution to current scholarship.

When reviews diverge significantly, the Editor-in-Chief may seek an additional evaluation to reach a balanced judgment. Authors are notified promptly of decisions and provided with a clear rationale.

The editorial board meets periodically to review decision patterns, assess consistency across editors, and ensure that the evaluation process remains impartial and aligned with the journal's editorial policies.
